A message from Principal Harvey in regards to presidential elections and political points of view:
Parents, as you might imagine, last week’s primary presidential election evoked some strong emotions and conversations among our students. As educators, we want to encourage students to think critically about candidates’ platforms and to learn about civic responsibilities and processes such as voting. Certainly, in all our work with students, we are teaching respect for differences of opinions and consideration for others’ perspectives. Please help us in this work as you talk with your children about your political views by reminding them of the importance of responding with kindness and tolerance to viewpoints and ideas different from their own.
