Below is a letter from Karyn Saxon regarding the reading program Lexia
Dear Parents, As many of you know, we have been taking advantage of the opportunity for students to practice Lexia Reading at home. This year we upgraded to their Lexia Core5 program, which offers a new interface, updated skills and activities. Lexia Core5 is now available as a direct link on the internet. To access it, please go to your school’s home page. Under “for students” you will find a link to Lexia. Clicking on that link will bring to you the Lexia website. From there, students can type in their username and password, which is the same as their lunch ID. If you would like to install it as an app on an iPad or iPad mini, go the app store and download “Lexia Reading Core5”. When you open the app, it will ask for your teacher’s email. Your student will then be able to sign in with their username and password. Please remember: “Lexia at Home” is not required homework. It should also not be done more than 3 times a week and not for more than 20 minutes at a time. If it is used too often, it will no longer serve its purpose. If you have any questions, you can contact us or Karyn Saxon, the ELA curriculum director, at (508) 655-0534 or [email protected] Upcoming important dates 12/8 Band Concert at 7pm 12/9 Strings Concert at 7pm 12/10 Band/Orchestra Concert @10am
